While we ask patients to wait until the next day before applying makeup, most feel comfortable going out without any makeup. *However, when adding the magic of PRP to your Vivace treatment, you may experience some minor bruising and swelling to the treated areas for a few days.
It's safe for almost any skin type! Patients with darker skin tones can have a more challenging time finding suitable skin resurfacing treatments, as lasers and peels that remove skin layers can risk permanent pigmentation changes. Vivace induces natural skin resurfacing without using heat or harsh chemicals or removing skin layers, so it’s safe for darker skin.

What to Expect...

At your Vivace appointment you will spend about 30-45 minutes relaxing in our pre-treatment area with a topical anesthetic applied to the treatment area. After you are numb, our staff will cleanse your skin and and prepare you for treatment.

The treatment is mildly uncomfortable. However, with adequate numb time, most patients tolerate it very well.

After your treatment your skin will be pink and feel a bit warm. Your practitioner will apply a soothing serum and a protective finishing cream, and by the time you're walking out the door most people would never notice you'd had anything done at all!

And then the magic begins... Within the first week most patients are quite excited about the changes they are seeing in their skin and are eager to come in for another treatment!

We recommend a series of 3-4 treatments spaced about 4-6 weeks apart for best results, although even a single treatment makes a noticeable difference for most patients!
